Online orders may be eligible for return within 14 days of delivery.
To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused, unopened, in its original packaging, and in the same condition that you received it.
Items returned without prior approval may not be accepted.

Please include your order number, the item you would like to return, and the reason for the return.
If your return is approved, we will provide instructions for sending the item back.
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to an error by Backwater Tackle Co., such as receiving the wrong item, a defective item, or an item damaged before delivery.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
We recommend using a trackable shipping method. Backwater Tackle Co. is not responsible for returned items lost or damaged in transit.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you whether the refund is approved.
If approved, your refund will be issued to the original payment method. Please allow time for your bank or payment provider to process the refund.
Refunds are issued for the returned item price only. Original shipping charges are not refundable unless the return is due to an error by Backwater Tackle Co.
Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives.
If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, contact us as soon as possible so we can review the issue and make it right.
Please keep the item, packaging, and any shipping materials until the issue is resolved. Photos may be requested for damaged items or carrier claims.
The following items are final sale and are not eligible for return or refund:
Live bait
Frozen bait
Perishable items
Gift cards
Clearance or final-sale items
Special order items
Used items
Items that have been opened, installed, modified, or used
Fishing line that has been opened, spooled, cut, or removed from original packaging
Rods, reels, or tackle showing signs of use, damage, wear, or alteration
Items missing original packaging, tags, labels, parts, or accessories
Some items may be available from our suppliers and may not be physically stocked in our retail store at the time an online order is placed.
Special order or supplier-available items may be non-returnable unless the item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect.
If an item becomes unavailable after your order is placed, we may contact you with available options, including a replacement, delayed shipment, partial fulfillment, or refund.
Exchanges may be available depending on product availability.
If you need a different item, size, color, or variant, please contact us. In some cases, the original item may need to be returned and a new order placed.
In-store purchases are handled separately from online orders.
In-store pricing and online pricing may vary. Online prices apply only to orders placed through backwatertackleco.com. In-store purchases are completed at our retail location using in-store pricing.
Returns for in-store purchases may require the original receipt and must meet the same eligibility requirements listed in this policy.
If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible.
Orders that have already been processed, packed, shipped, or ordered from a supplier may not be eligible for cancellation.
