Shipping Policy

Thank you for shopping with Backwater Tackle Co. We are a locally owned bait and tackle shop located in Flatwoods, Kentucky. This Shipping Policy explains how online orders are processed, shipped, and fulfilled.

Online Orders

Online orders placed through backwatertackleco.com are currently available for shipping only. In-store pickup is not available for online orders at this time.

In-store pricing and online pricing may vary. Online prices apply only to orders placed through our website. In-store purchases are completed at our retail location using our in-store pricing.

Order Processing Time

Most online orders are processed within 1–3 business days.

Some products listed on our website may be available from our suppliers and may not be physically stocked in our retail store at the time the order is placed. These items may require additional processing time before shipment. When applicable, product pages may display messaging such as “Available from supplier” or “Usually ships within 3–5 business days.”

If an item becomes unavailable after your order is placed, we may contact you with available options, including a replacement, delayed shipment, partial fulfillment, or refund.

Shipping Times

Shipping times vary based on the shipping carrier, shipping method, destination, product availability, and order processing time.

Estimated shipping times shown at checkout are carrier estimates and do not include any additional supplier processing time that may apply to supplier-available items.

Shipping Rates

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on the order contents, shipping destination, package weight, package dimensions, and available carrier rates.

Free shipping promotions, when offered, may be limited to eligible products, order totals, shipping destinations, or promotional periods.

Products That May Not Be Eligible for Shipping

Some products may not be eligible for shipping due to product type, size, weight, carrier restrictions, temperature sensitivity, or local availability.

Items that may be restricted from shipping include, but are not limited to:

  • Live bait

  • Frozen bait

  • Oversized items

  • Fragile items

  • Items restricted by carrier rules

  • Products marked for in-store sale only

If an item cannot be shipped, it may be unavailable for online purchase or removed from the order.

Local Pickup

In-store pickup for online orders is not currently available.

Split Shipments

Some orders may ship in more than one package depending on product availability, item size, or fulfillment timing. If your order ships in multiple packages, tracking information may be provided separately.

Order Tracking

When your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information when tracking is available.

Please allow time for the carrier to scan and update tracking information after the label is created.

Incorrect Shipping Information

Customers are responsible for entering the correct shipping address at checkout.

Backwater Tackle Co. is not responsible for delays, lost packages, or delivery issues caused by incorrect or incomplete shipping information provided by the customer.

We will do our best to assist before the order ships, but we cannot guarantee changes after fulfillment has started.

Lost, Delayed, or Damaged Packages

Once an order is handed off to the shipping carrier, delivery timing is controlled by the carrier.

If your package is delayed, lost, or arrives damaged, please contact us and we will help review the issue. In some cases, a carrier claim may be required.

Please keep all packaging and damaged items if a damage claim is needed.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible.

Orders that have already been processed, packed, shipped, or ordered from a supplier may not be eligible for cancellation.
